Khadim Rizvi's Brother, Nephew Sentenced To 55 Years In Jail For Rioting With Police
86 workers and supporters of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) including Khadim Hussain Rizvi's brother and nephew have been convicted of rioting against the police and awarded a jail sentence of 55 years each.

Ordering the seizure of their moveable and immoveable assets, the court asked the convicts to collectively submit Rs12,925,000.

The punishment was awarded in a case registered in the Pindighep police station against TLP workers for holding violent protests and clashes with the police in 2018 following the arrest of their party chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi.

Khadim Rizvi, the firebrand cleric of TLP, was arrested along with other leaders of TLP in a crackdown by security forces in Lahore.

A constable was severely injured at Multan Road where the violent activists clashed with police.
