Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, in a fresh move, appointed 13 ex-military officials including, 11 retired major generals of Pakistan’s army and 2 retired air marshals of Pakistan air force (PAF) as Pakistan ambassadors in different countries, according to the documents presented before the parliament.
The documents added that on around 40 ambassadorial portfolios in different countries the government picked 13 ex-military officials both from army and air force to engage them in diplomatic circle across the world.
The documents added that all ex-military officials’ service hired through contractual position in BPS-21. The documents added that Major General (R) Sajid Iqbal has been appointed as ambassador in Tripoli.
Major General (R) Waqar Ahmad Kangrawi has been appointed as ambassador in Abuja. Major (General) Zahid Mubashir Sheikh has been appointed as ambassador to Kaif.
Major General (r) Mohammad Khalid Rao has been appointed in Sarajevo on contractual basis as ambassador. The documents added that Major General (R) Abdul Aziz Tariq has been appointed as ambassador in Brunei on contractual basis.
Major General ® Umar Farooq Burki has been appointed in Oman. Renowned political commentator Major General (R) Saad Khattak has been appointed as envoy to Sri Lanka.
Major General (r) Mohammad Khalid service as ambassador has been hired for the Bosnia. Major General (r) Abdul Aziz Tariq has also been appointed for Brand Seri Begwan Brunei Darussalam. Major General (R) Zahid Mubashir Sheikh has been appointed as envoy to Ukraine.

Vice Admiral (R) Waseem Akram service has been hired in Male, Maldives while Air Marshal (R) Rashid Kamal has been appointed for Damascus.
