Never Said I Had Video Of Sanaullah, Only Spoke About 'Footage': Shehryar Afridi Presents Absurd Defence

State Minister for Narcotics Control Shehryar Afridi has said that he never stated that he had video evidence against Rana Sanaullah, and that he had only spoken of 'footage'.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Afridi stated that neither him nor Prime Minister Imran Khan had not arrested Rana Sanaullah and that there had been 'no interference' or 'political victimisation' in Sanaullah's legal proceedings.

He also emphasised that Rana Sanaullah had been given bail, and had not been acquitted.

Former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah’s bail application had been granted by the Lahore High Court on Tuesday, following which the court ordered his release.

The PML-N leader was arrested by the Anti Narcotics Force after alleged recovery of 15 KG of heroin from his car.

Afridi had claimed following the arrest that there existed video evidence that would prove that heroin was found in the lawmaker's car.
