Former dictator General (retd) Pervez Musharraf was hospitalised in Dubai following the deterioration of his health, days before a hearing pertaining to the high-treason case against him.
In a tweet, All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) secretary-general Mehrene Malik Adam stated that Musharraf had been rushed to the hospital after his health worsened.

She added that the former president’s health had been very poor currently and he was currently undergoing treatment in Dubai. She further asked the nation to pray for the APML leader.
The former dictator had been ordered by a special court in Islamabad to appear before it and record his statement in the high treason case by December 5.
The verdict was supposed to be issued on November 28, but the IHC barred the special court from announcing the decision after the interior ministry submitted a petition in the matter.
He is on trial for ‘subverting the constitution’ when he promulgated the state of emergency in the country in November 2007.
