Malala Yousufzai Featured On Cover Of Teen Vogue

Nobel Prize Laureate and education activist Malala Yousufzai was featured on the cover of Teen Vogue’s last issue of the decade.

This feature was the conclusion of the publication’s #20teens where they interviewed young people who had passed through their teens in this decade and made substantial changes in the field politics, culture and style.

In the interview, Malala spoke about her time at Oxford, the importance of girl’s education, the activism of young people and Islamophobia.

She said her time at Oxford was important to her because it allowed her to prove that women can reach the new levels because of education. She added that if women around the world are allowed access to education, they can add $30 trillion to the global economy.

Moving on, when asked about her views on youth activism, she said that it was something refreshing. Seeing young people all across the world coming out and supporting what they believe in will eventually lead to change.

She also talked about Islamophobia and said that this phenomenon was a result of less diversity. If areas and populations are more diverse, such phenomenon will not exist.

Malala is currently a senior at Oxford University and working with the Malala Fund to help promote girls’ education across the world.
