Faisal Vawda Says Ahsan Iqbal Should Be Hanged For 3 Days

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Faisal Vawda has said that Ahsan Iqbal should be hanged for three days, as he had through his looting brought the country on the brink of destruction.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz politician Ahsan Iqbal was arrested today by the National Accountability Bureau for alleged involvement in corruption related to the Narowal Sports City project.

In a tweet made after the arrest, Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda called the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader a hypocrite and a dacoit bigger than Nawaz Sharif.

Vawda added that soon, he would bring to light Ahsan Iqbal’s front company and the list of his relatives whose plundering of national resources had brought the country on the brink of destruction.

The federal minister further said that such people should be hanged for at least three days.

In response to Vawda’s tweet, a user questioned if the federal minister had any moral grounds for making such comments, as he had come to power by robbing the nation of its mandate. He added that information on Faisal Vawda’s illegal sources of income, through which he had bought properties, were prevented from coming to light by putting pressure on the media.

Journalist Talat Aslam stated that Vawda mocking Ahsan Iqbal for corruption was peak irony and peak Naya Pakistan.

This is not the first time Faisal Vawda has made problematic comments about hanging opponents. In June, while discussing corruption on a TV show, Vawda expressed his desire to hang 5000 people and said, “If we hung 5000 people right now, if it was in our hands, the fate of millions of people would change.”
