Dua Mangi Case: Police Believe Militant Outfits Behind Kidnapping
Police suspect that the kidnappers involved in 22-year-old student Dua Mangi's case were from a militant outfit.

According to the police, the bullet shells found at the site of Mangi's kidnapping were similar to those that were found at an encounter site by the police at Gulshan-i-Iqbal. They made the statement following forensic results on the two.

Mangi was kidnapped from the DHA area in Karachi and her friend, Haris Somroo, was shot in the neck. She returned home on Friday night.

Police also claim that the kidnappers might also be behind the abduction of another girl named Bisma in May. The kidnappers had met the family for ransom 20 meters away from where the police had their encounter on Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

Dua still hasn't recorded a statement with the police. The family says that she will do so when she feels better.

The police also think that the kidnappers, if they're also the perpetrators of the Bisma kidnapping case, would have treated Dua in a 'respectable manner'. They say this because Bisma was was not mistreated during her captivity.

The kidnapper's knowledge of technology was similar, which is why the police suspect they are from a militant organsiation.
