Danish Kaneria's Claims About Faith-Based Discrimination False, Says Inzimam Ul Haq

Former cricketer Inzimam Ul Haq has said that Danish Kaneria’s claims about discrimination in the team due to his Hindu faith are not true.

Haq uploaded a video response on his YouTube channel where he countered the claims made. He said that under his leadership, he had never seen any sort of discrimination in the team at all. He mentioned Muhammad Yusuf and said that he never complained about any such thing even though he was a non-Muslim before converting as well.

He went on to say that players usually had amicable relationships with each other and used to play around and joke with each other while staying together on tours.

He continued and said that Pakistanis have big hearts and hence do not discriminate or shut out people.

The cricketer added that even when he looks at it from the point of religion, he believes in justice. And according to him, Kaneria was treated justly.

The video response came after Shoaib Akhtar had said that people in the Pakistan team had refused to eat with Kaneria over the fact that he was Hindu. Kaneria had supported his claims with a statement that he made on his Twitter account.
