Attock Assistant Commissioner Who Spoke For Ahmadi Rights Facing Threats
Attock Assistant Commissioner Jannat Hussain Nekokara and her family are facing threats, days after the official landed in trouble for saying that there should be no discrimination against Ahmadis.
According to reports on social media, the assistant commissioner and her family are facing threats. Assistant Commissioner Jannat Hussain had recently that there should be no discrimination against Ahmadis and emphasised unity amongst Pakistanis.
Following the comments, she was called before a room full of people and asked to clarify her statements that she had made during an event in which she called for unity among all Pakistanis.
Journalist Bilal Farooqui stated on Twitter that the assistant commissioner and her family were facing threats and that the government must provide her with security.
