15 British Pakistanis Of Kashmiri Origin Win In British Elections

15 British Pakistanis of Kashmiri origin have been elected to parliament in the recently-held British general elections.

All the of the people elected have their roots in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, said the President of the Tehreek-e-Kashmir (TeK).

According to him, these results show the hard work the community has put into the political process in the country.

The British general elections led to a Conservative Party victory where they won 360 out of 650 seats. This is their largest victory since 1987. Last time such numbers were recorded under Margret Thatcher.

The Conservative Party’s main competitor was the Labour Party, under Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership, which won 208 seats.
