Short Film On Father Trying To Get Back Son From Taliban Wins At Toronto Awards

A short film, Worth, by Iranian-Canadian film maker Meelad Hassan, has won the Toronto Asian Reel and Vancouver Asian Film Awards.

This film was shot in Pakistan, with the leading star being Waqar Shehzad. Shehzad plays the role of an Afghan father who sold his son to escape Taliban abuses.

In the film, the father eventually realises his mistake, and instead of crossing the border with his daughter, he decides to get his son back.
