PPP Distances Itself From Maulana's 'Plan B'
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has disowned Jamiat Uleme-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s ‘Plan B’, saying that the party will not block roads and highways.

Following the JUI-F chief’s announcement to end the sit-in, Fazl said that the protests would expand to every corner of the country, blocking “major arteries and highways – and even bylanes and streets”.

Express Tribune quoted PPP General Secretary Waqar Mehdi as saying that the blockage of roads is not the party’s agenda.

“From day one our policy is clear. We will not become a party of dharna politics. We supported the Azadi March, but can’t come on the roads at this moment,” he said, adding that the PPP only extends support to a peaceful support.
