Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid-e-Azam Group (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that if something were to happen to Nawaz Sharif, it would result in bitterness in politics and chaos in the country.
While talking to media, Chuadhry Shujaat stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan and his cabinet should have a big heart and allow the former premier to go abroad.
He added that the decision should not be delayed due to official complications, and that the government should remove his name from the ECL on humanitarian grounds.
The PML-Q leader stated that there should not be any politics on Nawaz's illness, adding, “If God forbid anything happens to Nawaz, it will only bring further bitterness in politics as such no step should be taken which could not allayed afterwards.”
He said that such a scenario would result in chaos in the country and the national economy would also suffer.
The issue of removing the former prime minister's name from the Exit Control List will be taken up by the sub-committee of the federal cabinet on Tuesday.
