PM Imran Tells Sarfraz To Focus On Domestic Cricket To Get Back On Team
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the former Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed can get back on the national team if he focuses on domestic cricket.

The prime minister also expressed his support for Misbahul Haq as the head coach and chief selector of Pakistan’s cricket team.

He further opined that the performance and form of a player should be gauged by Test and One-day cricket and not T20 cricket, adding, “He can come back to the national team, he should focus on domestic cricket.”

The Pakistan Cricket Board had removed Sarfraz as captain and dropped him from all three formats last month’s after Pakistan’s humiliating whitewash in the T20 series with Sri Lanka.

The PM also supported Misbah’s appointment as head coach and chief selector. He said, “It is a constructive move to appoint Misbah as he is an honest and unbiased personality who has loads of experience behind him.”

The PM also stated that if domestic cricket improved in Pakistan, then Pakistan cricket would move forward.
