The health of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has deteriorated again as his platelets dropped due to a reduction in administration of steroids.
Nawaz Sharif’s personal physician, Dr Adnan Khan, tweeted that the former PM’s health was critical, as his platelet count fell when doctors tried to reduce the steroids given to him.

He also stated that severe existent co-morbidities had added to the seriousness of the nature of Nawaz’s critical illness.

Dr Adnan also urged that the cause of the decrease in platelets needed to be diagnosed and established without any delay.
On Tuesday, the head of the medical board treating Nawaz Sharif stated that his health had deteriorated and the next 48 hours were critical for him. The same day, the former prime minister had been granted an eight-week bail on medical grounds today by the Islamabad High Court.
