Nawaz Arrives In London: Social Media Abuzz With Debate On His Health
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif reached London for his treatment on Tuesday evening following days of quarreling between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
On November 16, the Lahore High Court had allowed Nawaz Sharif to travel abroad, whilst ordering the federal government to remove his name from the Exit Control List.
The removal of Nawaz’s name from the ECL and his departure to London has received all kinds of comments, with one side doubting his illness and the other criticising the ruling party for causing delays to the former PM’s treatment whilst praying for his health.
Followers of the PTI have particularly shed doubts on whether Nawaz Sharif was actually sick or not. A user took to Twitter to point out how there was no wheelchair, stretcher or hospital clothing.
No stretcher, no wheelchair, no hospital clothing. What kind of a critically ill ICU patient was this guy who boarded a Qatari VIP jet with a gleeful smile in a three piece suit?
It’s a shame that a convicted felon departs for London while making mockery of justice #NawazSharif

Another Twitter user stated that the one who had raised his slogan for respecting the vote was off to London to live a sedentary life under the pretext of treatment.
Nawaz Sharif today buried his politics forever. Mandela, who holds the slogan of voting for the vote, is about to embark on a sedentary life in London through the pretext of treatment. People lost their lives in this thief. pic.twitter.com/ELr3dMNLL0

Meanwhile, a picture of Nawaz Sharif on his flight to London started doing the rounds on social media, with some pointing out at how the former PM seemed well. One user poked fun at the prime minister by saying that he was telling his physician that the grapes given to him were sour.

People have been also critical of the court’s decision to allow Nawaz Sharif to leave the country for his treatment. One user stated how Nawaz Sharif’s flight to London was the funeral flight of Pakistan’s judicial system.

Others have shared hilarious videos trying to highlight the fact that the PML-N leader seemed healthy.

Some people also opined that the prime minister’s decision was the right one because if something happened to him, he would become a political martyr who would keep on fooling the next generations as has been done in the name of Bhutto.
#PMImranKhan has taken a sensible decision by letting #NawazSharif go to #London since we don't need another "Siyasi Shaheed" to fool our next generation like #PPP has been misguiding people in the name of #Bhutto.#NawazSharif #نواز_بھگوڑا_لندن_دوڑا #bhagnawazbhag
