Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his gratitude to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan for the completion of the Kartarpur Corridor and his cooperation over Kartarpur Corridor's opening.
In his address to the Sikh community on the day of the inauguration ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor, the Indian premier said that the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor was a source of happiness for them.
He added that the corridor would make it easier for the Sikh community to make pilgrimage to Gurdwara Darbar (Kartarpur) Sahib.
He expressed his thanks to the government of Indian Punjab for the timely completion of the corridor.
He further said that he was thankful to the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan that he understood the emotions of the Indian people and gave respect to their wishes regarding the Kartarpur corridor.
