Maryam Nawaz Granted Bail In Chaudhry Sugar Mills Case
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif has on Monday been granted bail in Chaudhry Sugar Mills Case.

The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter had submitted a bail request in Lahore High Court (LHC). The two-member bench of the LHC headed by Justice Baqir Najafi approved the bail today. Maryam had been arrested on August 8, 2019.

The court ordered Maryam to be immediately released. However, the court ordered her to submit surety bonds worth Rs 10 million, deposit an additional Rs 70 million and also made her surrender her passport so that she may not be able to travel abroad during the course of the trial.

Yesterday, senior journalist Talat Hussain had tweeted that Nawaz Sharif will be sent abroad while a 'deal' had been agreed between the PML-N and the establishment on the fate of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Hamza Shehbaz Sharif, and others.

Shehbaz Sharif Thanks God For Maryam's Release

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has said that he was thankful to God over Maryam's release. He said that Maryam's release will help her tend to her ailing father.

Shehbaz also requested the supporters to pray for Nawaz Sharif's health and especially appealed them to pray for Nawaz's quick recovery instead of celebrating or distributing sweets. He reiterated the need for the diagnosis of the reason behind the drop in Nawaz's platelet count.
