KP Govt Launches Mobile App To Connect MPAs with Public

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani inaugurated the mobile application ‘Citizen Voice’ to connect members of the provincial assembly (MPA) with the public.

The mobile application was launched with the mutual collaboration of Pakistan Woman Organization and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly.

Through this mobile application, the general public will be able to view the activities of the MPAs and their performance will be updated routinely. Through the application, the public will be able to view what the MPAs have legislated and at what instances they have raised their voice to solve the issues of their constituency.

Moreover, the application will provide the masses a direct link with the MPA of their constituency. People will also be able to submit their suggestions and complaints through this application. 

The application will also inform public of the action taken by the provincial assembly in view of their suggestions and complaints.

Members of the general public can also request to participate in the proceedings of the provincial assembly through this application.

While speaking on the occasion, KP Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ghani thanked Azra Gul, executive director of Pakistan Woman Organisation, whose efforts led to the launch of this mobile app.



Ghani further said that such mobile applications would prove to be a milestone in minimising the distance between the people and their elected representatives, resolution of their problems, adding that it would also help people in giving their proposals and opinions.

He said that for the first time, the PTI-led provincial government, while keeping in view the importance of information technology, presented the activities of the provincial assembly before the people to keep them informed about the performance of their elected representatives.
