The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has asked its members to submit their resignations from the National Assembly to the party leadership.

According to details, the far-right party has made the decision to take resignations from 15 of its members in the National Assembly.

Currently, an All Parties Conference (APC) presided over by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman is underway at his residence in Islamabad. The APC is deliberating over a joint path of action for the participants of the Azadi March to increase pressure on the government.

While addressing the gathering of the Azadi March on Sunday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that the government needed to give the right of vote to the nation. He said, “Today only one city is locked and in future the entire country can be locked.”

He had further stated that the party was being asked to submit its complaints to the Election Commission Of Pakistan (ECP), but the ECP was even more helpless than them.

He added that only a parliamentary committee could make a decision on electoral rigging and that they decided not to go to any court or election commission.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman further said that not much could be expected of the ECP as even after five years, it had not given a verdict on PTI’s foreign funding case.
