Imran Won't Be Prime Minister Next Year: Bilawal
Islamabad

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would not complete his five-year term and the country would have a new prime minister by the next year.

While addressing media following a meeting of PPP’s core committee, Bilawal stated that a new prime minister would be in office by next year.

“I am certain that Imran Khan will not be the prime minister [in 2020]. Pakistan will have a new prime minister the next year,” Bilawal said.

The PPP chairperson said that the PPP desired new elections but did not intend that one selected government be replaced by another.

Regarding the JUI-F's Azadi March not achieving its goal of getting the prime minister’s resignation, Bilawal said that the chances of Imran Khan’s removal had increased rather than decreasing.

While answering a question about former president Asif Zardari’s health, Bilawal said that Zardari had not been allowed to meet his physician since his incarceration.
