The cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three men over suspicion of harassing a woman online and blackmailing her through revenge porn.
A new report in Geo cited the FIA as saying that the three men were arrested following a raid on Monday in Karachi.
The officials described how one of them became friends with the woman and recorded explicit videos and photos of her.
The second person convinced him to blackmail the woman for money while the third one created fake profiles of the woman on Facebook in order to harass and intimidate her.
FIA officials stated that the men had saved the revenge porn media on their devices.
Meanwhile, a First Information Report has been registered against the suspects under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.
