Federal Cabinet Conditionally Okays Nawaz’s Removal From ECL
The federal cabinet has given conditional approval for removal of ailing former PM Nawaz Sharif’s name from the country’s no-fly list. News channels quoted sources as saying that the permission has been granted on the condition of submitting a financial guarantee.
According to sources, Sharif’s name has been removed from Exit Control List or a limited time.
However, no official announcement has been made in this regard. The cabinet sub-committee tasked to give recommendation over the matter will meet again at 9:30 PM on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, journalists and social media commentators reacted to the development and said that the delay on the part of the government is unnecessary.
Time to be ‘tall’ ..PM @ImranKhanPTI shld follow his instinct & ChaudaryShujaat’s advice …invoke his executive authority, uphold insaaniyat & let his critically ill main pol opponent leave immed. He shld address the Nation & say so & not fear being accused of NRO etc.

Asking Nawaz Sharif family to give a final date of his return defies logic, rational thinking and common sense. He is still here. There is no prognosis and the treatment has not even begun. How can somebody give a final date of his return? Are they out of their mind?
