Fazl Says He Called Off Azadi March After Being Promised A 'Change' In December
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman has said that he called of his anti-government Azadi March after being assured that a 'change' will take place in December. He went on to say that he was told that if he ends the sit-in, the general elections would be held in the next three months.
He, however, did not confirm if it would be an in-house change or the government would be sent packing. "We will have to wait to see what kind of change it will be", he said.
Meanwhile, the JUI-F chief has called a multiparty conference of the opposition parties on Tuesday (tomorrow) to discuss the future course of action against the government.
