The father of suspected child rapist, Sohail Ayaz, has said that he would fight his son’s case while boasting of his connections in the army.
In a video shared on social media, Sohail’s father lamented that his son’s face had not been hidden when the police revealed that they had arrested him, which had brought shame to his family.
He stated that he would be fighting his son’s case to the very end, adding that he had connections in high places. He said that they had around two dozen high profile army officers in their family, and the police’s press conference had brought shame to the family.

Moreover, he strongly denied the claim that he had disowned Sohail Ayaz. His father further said that the reason Sohail had dissociated himself from his family was for the benefit of the family.
Sohail Ayaz had been arrested by police under suspicion that he ran a child pornography ring and live streamed videos of child abuse on the ‘dark web’.
The suspect was earlier deported from both Britain and Italy after serving jail sentences for similar crimes.
According to the police, the suspect was working as a consultant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Governance and Policy project, a claim denied by KP Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai.
