Dadu By-Polls: Bilawal Outraged At Deployment Of Army
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that despite repeated protests and complaints, army had been deployed at polling stations in Dadu.

By-elections in PS-86, Dadu, are underway, with a close contest between PPP’s Salahuddin Jilani and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Imdad Leghari.

Bilawal stated on Twitter that even though repeated complaints had been made to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), army had been deployed inside and outside polling stations in the by-election.

He added that the PPP had agitated [against] this ever since this first came into practice in the general elections of 2018. He stated that such steps unnecessarily made our armed forces controversial.

On Wednesday, the ECP had declined a request from PPP Central Election Cell against deployment of the army during the by-election in PS-86.
