Woman Assaulted Outside Court By Lawyers In Shakargarh
A woman was assaulted by lawyers outside a local court in Narowal’s Shakargarh. An official of police confirmed to media that a fight had occurred between lawyers and a woman, named Amrat, who had come to the court for a hearing.
The woman, a resident of Shahpur Bhangu, was fighting a case related to a door in the street near her residence and claimed that the lawyers misbehaved with her.
Videos gone viral on social media showed lawyers beating a woman and kicking her down as police watch silently. A social media user who shared the video of the incident asked if this was how women were to be treated in Naya Pakistan.

Another user expressed that these lawyers were goons and that the nation which disrespected its women should be pitied.

People called for authorities to take immediate action against the culprits.

The victim told media that lawyers stopped her from entering the chamber, dragged her outside and beat her while bystanders and policemen watched silently.

The local bar association’s president alleged that the woman was accompanied by some men who attempted to kidnap one of the lawyers.
A case has been registered against the alleged perpetrators of violence.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and ordered the Narowal district police officer to submit a report regarding the matter.
