Imran Khan Emerges As The Most Persuasive Muslim In The World

Prime Minister Imran Khan has been given the title of ‘Man of the Year’ by Jordan’s Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre. Imran Khan emerged at the top of the list of most persuasive Muslims in the world.
The winners were chosen by professor emeritus of journalism at the American University in Cairo, Abdallah Schleifer, who is also the Editor-in Chief of Muslims 500.
Schleifer in his comments to media reportedly praised Imran Khan and said, “If The Muslim 500 was in print back in 1992 and I was the Chief Editor then, I would have nominated Imran Khan as our Muslim Man of the Year, because of his brilliant performance in cricket, which culminated in Pakistan winning the 1992 Cricket World Cup — a sport I have always admired for its combination of elegance and intense competitive play.”
He also expressed how impressed he was with the Pakistani prime minister’s desire for peace despite a hostile neighbourhood.
The professor also spoke of Imran Khan’s dilemma where on one hand he wanted peace and on the other hand those he wanted to make mend relations with had no interest in peace.
Schleifer stated, “This is Imran Khan’s great dilemma — how do you make a much-desired lasting peace with a nation governed by those who have neither interest nor need to make a lasting peace with Pakistan, and against whom any form of war would be hopeless”.
Schleifer also attributed Imran Khan’s win partially to his efforts to build a cancer hospital in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, both politicians and supporters congratulated the prime minister and expressed their pride and joy in their prime minister being bestowed with the award.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s member of the Sindh Assembly, Khurram Sher Zaman congratulated PM Imran and said that this was a moment of ‘restoring national pride’.
Congrats to PM @ImranKhanPTI for being ‘Man of the Year’ by Jordan’s Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center. Another example of restoring national pride.
