As Intl Cricket Returns To Lahore, Citizens Suffer Due To Strict Security Measures
LAHORE: The first T-20 cricket match of a three-match series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka being played at Qaddafi Stadium on Saturday has made the lives of citizens miserable as strict security measures restricted their movement.

According to details, tough security measures have been taken inside and outside the stadium for the important international match which is expected to play a role in bringing back international cricket to Pakistan.

Areas surrounding the stadium have also been shut down for traffic to avoid any untoward incident.

Large contingents of police were seen securing the route that would be taken by the players to reach the stadium. All important intersections in the city are being guarded by military, paramilitary and police personnel.

The event has proved annoying for many citizens who were stuck in traffic for hours because most main roads inside the city were closed for vehicular traffic. Citizens commuting from their homes to offices and vice versa faced immense problems in reaching their destinations.

Due to the stringent security measures, all commercial activities in the city remained suspended which caused major losses to the national kitty.
