JUI-F’s Maulana Hanif, Two Others Die In Chaman Blast
CHAMAN: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Mohammad Hanif and three others were killed in a blast on Taj Road in Chaman, police said on Saturday.

Police said that the blast occurred in front of the JUI-F leader’s office. Eight people were wounded in the explosion, they added.

Hanif succumbed to his injuries when he was being transported to Quetta.

Police said that the explosive material was planted inside a motorcycle parked on a roadside, while adding that the intensity of the blast shattered the windows of nearby buildings.

According to rescue officials, four wounded people have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while condemning the bomb blast, said that he was deeply aggrieved on the death of the party leader.

“Maulana Mohammad Hanif was a sincere leader,” said Fazl. He also said that the incident showed that a conspiracy against peace had been launched. He also urged party workers to take part in rescue activities.
