The Reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir = The Final Solution?

The Reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir = The Final Solution?
Beyond all the ongoing political mockery in India for the past few days the question still holds: Is it really going to turn out to be the final solution for Indian-occupied Kashmir?

The “Final Solution” was a paradigm to exterminate the Jewish people and was practiced in stages – the origin to which is still unknown but what is clear is that the genocide of the Jews was the culmination of a decade of Nazi policy. Likewise, the Indian government has made it very clear that their long-held manifesto, the scrapping of article 370 which is the heart of why Kashmir joined India in 1947 is not just any other constitutional change but is also an ideology which can prove to be fatal for millions of Muslims residing in J&K.

Let us go back to the previous few practices of the Indian government to dominate nothing but the minorities, from imposing Section 144 in the Valley to cut down all communicational access, from the late night house arrest of Mehbooba Mufti and Omer Abdullah to deploying additional paramilitary personals in the region, from the unlawful amendment in the constitution to sidelining its political opposition. It is coherent that the Modi’s government is up to something even horrendous. This historic disaster was apparently put forth in a matter of hours but grievously, it was worked on at all ends.

India, the world’s greatest democracy, has blatantly exploited Kashmiris by taking away their right of citizenship. Not only this, the democratic country has symbolised a Muslim-majority region on the grounds of ethnicity, nationality, race and religion. You must be affirmed that these are the three initial stages of a deliberate massacre characterised as classification, symbolization and discrimination.

The Modi government is continuously advocating its ideology of monopolisation and expansion by attracting support from the general public since they have been able to manipulate the Indian public that the Article 370 was perhaps not in their positive interest and is the core reason of all the atrocities been held in the Kashmir valley. This is the later stage in the genocidal process hence termed polarisation. Our Prime Minister Imran Khan in his parliamentary address has predicted and pointed out the “ethnic cleansing” in Kashmir which already is an indication enough for the severity of this matter. This ethnic cleansing and counter terrorism is “preparation” the seventh out of the ten stages of genocide.

The Kashmiri leadership has always supported the Indian government with its decisions and this is how India Pays back to their years-old trust. To cut it short, India has given its message to all the Kashmiris that “we will decide your future and you won’t be asked about it”.

By now the tourists have left the region, around 0.4 million labourers who had been working in the valley, fear unemployment, the schools have been shut down completely, the decision has its grave implications on national security. The region is on the edge. International mediation is necessary to play its role in diffusing this issue or else who knows what this mockery can turn into.

I would like to conclude it by a saying of Kamand Kojouri:

“Their aim is to take all our light!

They think their bricked walls will separate us.

They think their damned bombs will defeat us.

They are so ignorant they don’t understand

that my soul and your soul are old friends.

They are so ignorant they don’t understand

that when they cut you I bleed.

They are so ignorant they don’t understand

that we will never be afraid,

we will never hate

and we will never be silent

for life is ours!”
