Mysterious Death Of Patient: PMDC Will Take Strict Action Against Shifa International
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) will take strict action against the reputed Shifa International Hospital as it failed to provide information of the four doctors allegedly involved in a mysterious death of Mohammad Nawaz, a resident of Islamabad, a source in PMDC told NayaDaur Media on the condition of anonymity.

The source said the PMDC reminded the hospital multiple times to submit the details.

Nawaz, who had died last month in the hospital, was the father of Shabana Hameed – deputy director at the Ministry of Human Rights.

Shabana, the complainant, had nominated four doctors – Dr Ayesha, Dr Mehreen, Dr Mehnaz Ali Baloch and Dr Abdul Salam – for their negligence.

Later, the PMDC directed the hospital to submit comments regarding the event, the patient’s record and the registration details of the doctors in 12 days. It had also warned that in case of failure, the case would be placed under the supervision of disciplinary committee for further action.
