ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan published a column in NYT on Friday in which he said that the latest Indian assault on the freedom of Kashmiri people can bring India and Pakistan in direct military confrontation if the international community does not take any action and turns a blind eye to the issue. PM Khan started the write up by mentioning that when his government came into power in 2018, he extended an olive branch to the Indian leadership in an effort to establish lasting peace in South Asia.

On February 14, a few months before India was taken over by the elections frenzy, a Kashmiri man targeted a convoy carrying Indian troops in a suicide attack in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).
The Indian government blamed Pakistan for the incident and sent Indian Air Force fighter plans to hit targets inside Pakistan. The Indian false flag operation was exposed by Pakistan after the Pakistan Air Force brought down an Indian fighter plane and captured the injured pilot.
Instead of aggravating the conflict, PM Khan took the decision to return the captured pilot to India as a gesture of goodwill and to move forward in the direction of peace.
Modi’s Reelection and Hardening Of His Anti-Pakistan Stance
After Modi was reelected on May 23, PM Khan congratulated him on his victory and shared his intention to work for peace, progress and prosperity in South Asia with the help of his Indian counterpart.
The letters sent by the PM did not receive any response from the Indian government, which instead opted to lobby against Pakistan to be placed on the Financial Action Task Force “blacklist”, which can have severe implications for the economy and well-being of Pakistan.
Modi And His Lieutenants Are Active Members of Fascist RSS
Indian PM Narendra Modi and several ministers in his government are active members of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) which is a fascist Hindu party.
The founding members of this party openly expressed their admiration for Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler, while wanting to impose a Hindu supremacist ideology on entire India.
It seems that Modi has not dumped his old ways when he oversaw the Gujrat massacre of Muslims in 2002.
Modi Govt Revokes IoK’s Special Constitutional Status
India dissolved the special constitutional status enjoyed by the people of Jammu and Kashmir through the revocation of Article 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution.
The move is a blatant violation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions on Kashmir and the Shimla Agreement between India and Pakistan signed between India and Pakistan.
Kashmir has been under an indefinite curfew ever since and all communication channels have been cut off in the valley.
A Military Stand-off Between India And Pakistan Can Lead To Nuclear War
If the world stands silently and refuse to resolve the Kashmir issue, the results can prove catastrophic for the entire South Asian region.
Hawkish voices in India and Pakistan have also started hinting towards the possibility of using nuclear weapons to resolve the Kashmir issue once and for all. Pakistani leadership has always viewed India’s “no first use” claims with suspicion.
With so much at stake, India and Pakistan need to move out of the zero-sum mindset to initiate a meaningful dialogue on the issue of the Kashmir conflict. The dialogue must include all stakeholders, especially the Kashmiri population living on both sides of the Line of Control.
