Actor Mohsin Abbas Found Guilty Of Threatening His Wife
LAHORE: Actor Mohsin Abbas Haider, who was accused of domestic abuse by his wife, has been found guilty by a lower court in Lahore on Wednesday.

However, the actor was not found guilty of other offences, which included breach of trust and demanding money from his wife, after a thorough police investigation.

During Wednesday’s hearing, the court issued instructions to both the defence and prosecution counsels to present their final arguments during the next hearing.

A video uploaded to the actor’s Facebook page after the hearing showed Haider’s counsel, namely Adnan Tariq, saying that, “The incidents narrated by the accuser are based on false claims and lies.”

“The high profile investigation was conducted and monitored by the SSP and ADIG themselves. No money trail was found after investigation,” Tariq added.

Further, the actor’s counsel said, “There are minor provisions of threat in the first information report. Therefore, we are withdrawing our bail plea.”

Haider said on the occasion that he was extremely disappointed with the film and media industry for ‘believing a crying woman’.

He further said, “I hope all those people who have caused me so much stress would come out now and say what they have to say about me.”
