PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz on Saturday yet again lashed out at Prime Minister Imran Khan, questioning whether “the selected” is also included in the delegation visiting the US.
Had he been the people’s prime minister, he would have led the delegation, she said, adding, “It is better to die than living without honour, imprisonment is better than a rule like this.”
In a series of tweets, Maryam said even the days of make him sit and learn had gone. “The world too knows that talking to the selected is of no use. He is nothing more than a puppet,” she remarked.
Earlier in the day, Maryam told media persons that there was no justification for keeping Nawaz Sharif in prison after the forensic report confirmed the authenticity of the video [containing the revelations made by the accountability court judge].
If the video is authentic then the Nawaz Sharif’s innocence is also a fact, she said, adding that it was first of its kind event in the world that a three-time prime minister was in prison despite being innocent.
Rubbishing the rumours about deal, Maryam said only a selected person like Imran can fulfil the requirements of a deal, but Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz could not stab in the back of democracy.
She said July 25 would be observed as a black day and made it clear that she would reach Faisalabad tomorrow (Sunday) no matter what happens.
