The Theatre Of Absurd Continues, NAB Is A Tool To Harass And Victimise: Maryam

PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday questioned whether the political rivals [of the sitting government] should expect justice when an honest judge like Justice Faez Isa was going from pillar to post for justice.

In a series of tweets, Maryam said she had told the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) that the questions about family business were asked and answered a zillion times, and nothing found even by the agenda-driven JIT.

But since the aim is to use NAB as a tool to harass and victimise, the theatre of the absurd continues, she remarked after appearing before a NAB team in Lahore.

Maryam said the Bureau had nothing substantive to ask, adding that there was no allegation or even remote mention of any corruption

She said all matters inquired about over and over again pertained to the family business and, even in that, nothing illegal had ever been pointed out or committed. “[The] Selected [Imran Khan] desperately moving in circles,” Maryam remarked.

She said NAB did not deserve respect since it was an institution which used to get verdicts after blackmailing judges.

Maryam said she did not appear before NAB out of respect but for exposing political victimisation and biased justice so that the world could see that everything was allowed for the fake government.

She also made it clear that the PML-N was united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif despite the worst political victimisation, pressure and experiencing personal losses.
