NAB Petition Rejected: ‘Govt Used the Opportunity To Harass Maryam But She Utilised It To Energise PML-N’
PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz brilliantly challenged the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and made it convenient for the judge to throw the NAB petition out of the window, said senior journalist Murtaza Solangi.
Commenting on the rejection of the NAB petition by an accountability court on Friday, Solangi said Maryam, as the leader of Twitter arena, first used the crowdsourcing tool, asking her followers if she should appear or not before the court.
“She followed her legal counsel and appeared with a bang. She was a walking talking political poster wearing black with the picture of her incarcerated father, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif,” he added.
Solangi said the government used the opportunity to harass her and her party, but Maryam utilised it to energise the PML-N rank and file and reinforce her rising leadership.
