LAHORE: A man, nominated in an attempted murder case, was shot dead over personal enmity on the premises of district kachehri in Lahore after he had arrived for a hearing.
Police arrested the suspected shooter, who was involved in a legal battle with the victim, from the crime scene.
The victim was nominated in a case pertaining to attempted murder that was registered in 2016. He received multiple bullet wounds and rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Later, a report was submitted in the Lahore High Court's registrar's office by a senior civil judge of the criminal division of the district courts, DAWN reported.
It says the shooting incident on Wednesday was a result of security lapse on the part of police.
