The leaked video of accountability court judge Arshad Malik was released by Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif in a press conference where the judge is allegedly confessing to have convicted Nawaz Sharif under pressure.
The legal community is divided over the admissibility of the video evidence in the court. Asad Jamal, another prominent lawyer, says that the video would not be admissible in the court and entailed no consequences for the said judge. However, Yasser Latif Hamdani believes that the emergence of the video has raised serious question marks over Nawaz Sharif's sentence and if the video passes the forensic audit, the decision against the former prime minister should be quashed immediately.
