Eid-ul-Azha: Masjid Qasim Ali Khan Ready For Early Moon-Sighting
The administration of Masjid Qasim Ali Khan is all set for another controversy, as its moon-sighting committee will meet on August 1 [Thursday] to make decision about Eid-ul-Azha, Express News reported.

Meanwhile, the Mufti Muneeb-led official panel, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, is scheduled to meet on Friday [August 2].

Quoting Maulana Hussain Ahmed Madni, it said 29th of Ziqa’ad, according to Masjid Qasim Khan, falls on Thursday and that was the reason they were holding the meeting for moon-sighting that day.

Madni said they will announce decision about celebrating Eid on August 11, if they received the required witnesses; otherwise, Eid would be celebrated on August 12.

He said they were ready to talk at every forum, if the central government or the Ministry of Science and Technology wanted to reach Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai. However, Madni added, their arguments were not considered important.

If the central government wants to solve the issue then it has to listen to us; otherwise, there won’t be any change in the current situation, Madni said.
