When we were kids, our entertainment used to be parks and playgrounds. Our teachers never took us to malls for shopping in the name of school trips. Today, we often see children from middle-class and lower middle-class brought to these malls on 'school trips' where teachers are taking selfies while the students can't help staring at the expensive goods they're unable to purchase. This practice is inculcating an inferiority complex among the kids, says Afshan Masab.
