Opposition To Hold An APC Under Fazlur-Rehman
Leaders of all three major opposition parties including Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, and Jamiat Ulema Islam agreed to hold another All Parties Conference by the end of June.
In a presser followed by the meeting of key opposition members, Bilawal Bhutto reaffirmed his stance to protect the people from the Budget, presented by the treasury benches earlier this month.
“We will work together to relieve the people of this country from this “Awam Dushman” Budget, it was formulated on the whims and wishes of an international organization”, Bilawal added while referring towards the IMF.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman during the same presser reiterated his stance regarding electoral rigging and rejected the budget in question.
“Dollar has hiked to Rs157 now how can the common man survive,” how can one survive, pay utility bills for that matter”, the JUI Chief questioned.
Regarding the production orders pertaining to opposition party members, Maulana was of the view that such measures will allow the government to enforce the budget upon others.
“The absence of production order will deprive the parliament members in custody from the budget process”, Bilawal added along the JUI-F Chief.
In the same meeting, Shahbaz Sharif, leader of opposition addressed media representatives alongside Fazlur Rehman.
We will join hands with the common man to force the government to withdraw this anti-poor budget.”, Shahbaz added.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman concluded that a decision will be taken in the APC which will be acceptable to all.
