Nigar Johar Khan Is The Third Femal Major General In Pakistan`s History
It was back in 2017 when General Nigar Johar was promoted to the rank of Major General in Pakistan Amry. She was the third women to achieve such a rank in Pakitan`s history.

Hailing from a military family, Johar belongs to Panjpir Village of District Swabi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She was amongst the 25 Brigadiers of Pakistan Army that were promoted at that point in time.

She is the daughter of Col Qadir from the Inter-Services Intelligence(ISI) and the niece of Major Mohammad Amir, former Pakistan Army Officer who also served in the ISI.

To her record, she is the first ever women from Swabi to reach such a rank in the Pakistan Army. It is women like Johar and others with such success stories that encourage women to be in the country's service.

The Minister for Human Rights, Shireen Mazari appreciated Johar`s efforts in one of the tweets earlier regarding her as a symbol for Women Empowerment.

Women like Johar and their determination for success encourages other women to be at the country`s service. It is pertained to mention here that another female flying officer of Pakistan AirForce, Maryam Mukhtiar lost her life to an aircraft crash back in 2015.
