Lahore High Court senior puisne judge Justice Mamoon Rashid on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr ordered release of nine prisoners from the Camp Jail, who were serving sentences for minor offences.
According to a report in Dawn News, Justice Rashid along with Lahore & Sessions Judge Qaiser Nazir Butt visited the prison on the first day of Eid and distributed gifts among the inmates. The two judges also inspected the Camp Jail’s hospital as well as other basic facilities and pronounced them satisfactory.
Justice Rashid also held a long meeting with the juvenile inmates of the prison. The judge said unemployment was one of the main reasons for the rising crime rate in Pakistan. He said the youth was the future
