Imran Has Asked Zartaj to Withdraw the Letter Written to NACTA for Appointment of Her Sister: Naeem
Naeem-ul-Haque – special assistant to the PM – on Sunday afternoon said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed Federal Minister Zartaj Gul to withdraw the letter written to NACTA regarding the appointment of her sister, Shabnam Gul.

In a tweet, he said writing the letter was the PTI’s ethics, which had always opposed nepotism.

No one in the PTI government can promote their relatives/friends by using their positions, said Naeem.

But on the other hand, ARY News reported that NACTA had clarified that the appointment was made purely on merit.

Naeem’s tweet came as a controversy erupted over the appointment of Shabnam as a director in NACTA. She was working as an assistant professor at the Lahore College for Women University and sent to NACTA as a Grade-19 officer on deputation.

And there was severe criticism on social media over the role played by Zartaj in getting her sister appointed at a top position in a sensitive organisation.
