Faisal Vawda Wants The Corrupt To Be Dragged On Streets, Hanged
ISLAMABAD: Few days after the Federal Minister for Water Resources made a controversial remark in a prime time television show, adding more to his previous share of controversies.

Faisal Vawda, an MNA-elect from Karachi and member of the federal cabinet, suggested 'hanging 5000 people to transform the future of 220 million-strong nation'. Vawda made the comment while talking to Hamid Mir in Capital Talk on Geo News.

Addressing the budget session of the National Assembly, Vawda not only reiterated his demand, in fact he added more to his previous statement.

Vawda said that the corrupt should not only be hanged, they should in fact be tied to a vehicle and dragged on the streets.

Many social media users criticised Vawda for using such language against his political opponents.

Social media users were much more infuriated after Vawda's remarks on the floor of the house. They termed Vawda as a fascist and a sadist for his statement.

While referring to the Model Town incident which occurred in 2014, Vawda stated that those who term me fascist have forgotten 14 lives lost and 100 other injured in Model Town.

Vawda further mentioned his NA-249 win against former Chief Minister Punjab and now Leader of the Opposition, Shahbaz Sharif. Vawda invited Sharif to challenge the 2018 poll results.

“I will resign from my ministry and National Assembly seat if rigging was found during the re-counting”, Vawda added.
