SC Hears Case Through Video Link For The First Time
The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday made history by hearing cases via the e-court system, Dawn News reported.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa heard the first case through a video-link at Islamabad, a press release by the top court stated.
“The advocates of Karachi, whose cases were fixed for hearing at the SC Karachi registry, argued their cases through a video-link and the bench at principal seat heard and decided the cases.”it added.
The CJ said that this step was a big milestone in the country’s judicial history, adding that this facility will aid lawyers and litigants by saving them both time and money.
