Egg Boy Gives $100,000 Donations He Received To New Zealand Attack Victims
Will Connoly, infamously known as the Egg Boy, has given approximately $100,000 donations he received to cover his legal expenses to victims of the Christchurch mosques attack.

The 17-year-old egged Fraser Anning, who had said that the New Zealand attack was due to growing immigration of Muslims. The incident prompted an online donation campaign for Connoly so he could buy more eggs and cover his legal expenses.

Police chose not to press any charges last month, instead of giving the teenager an "official caution". They ruled Anning had acted in self-defense.

On Tuesday, the Egg Boy announced that he has transferred 'all monies' to New Zealand charities in charge of official fundraising efforts. "To the victims of the tragedy, I wholeheartedly hope that this can bring some relief to you," he said.

About his act, Connoly said that he understands it was not the right thing to do, but the egg has united people.

51 people were killed when a gunman stormed two mosques in Christchurch and opened indiscriminate fire on them. 9 Pakistanis were among those dead, including Naeem Rashid, who was given a national award by Prime Minister Imran Khan for jumping onto the attacker.

Last week, the attacker Brentan Tarrant, was charged with terrorism by the New Zealand authorities.
