Case Filed Against 3 Policemen Over Negligence In Farishta Case
A case has been registered against Station House Officer (SHO) Shahzad Town Sub Inspector Muhammad Abbas Rana and other policemen over negligence in Farishta rape and murder case.

According to reports, the family of the victim had gone to the police station to register report of their missing daughter, but the SHO refused to file the complaint saying that the girl might have 'eloped'.

Later, police said that the minor identified as Farishta was sexually assaulted and later murdered. Her body was disposed of in a nearby forest. The girl’s family belong to Mohmand Agency and the minor had gone missing on May 15.

Ghulam Nabi, the victim's father, registered a first information report at the Shahzad Town police station today under Section 166 (public servant disobeying the law with intent to cause injury to any person) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Also on Wednesday (today), police arrested a close relative of a 10-year-old girl who was allegedly raped and murdered in Islamabad.

According to police, the man arrested is a close relative of the 10-year-old Farista, whose body was found after being thrown in the forest.

Geo News reports that the police has refrained for sharing any further details but have broadened the scope of the investigation and are conducting raids to make arrests.
