Balochistan Will Provide Free Medical Facilities Including Cancer Treatment
The government of Balochistan has approved an amendment in the Balochistan Endowment Fund Policy, according to which it will provide free medical facilities, including cancer treatment to those in need.

According to the amendment, underprivileged patients in the province can avail themselves of treatment at medical facilities in any of the country’s major cities. Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan presided over a meeting in which it was also decided that medical facilities e.g. free surgeries will also be provided to special persons.

Official sources said that the provincial government has decided to extend ‘bridge financing’ for the completion of 20 dams that are under construction under the 100 dams’ construction project, including Basol and Ormara dams.



Kamal also said that Balochistan needed to gather provincial resources to enhance the economic process through the provision of funds and development projects.

The cabinet also approved structural development reforms for the chief minister’s initiative programme for educational development.

Balochistan government on Sunday released Rs1 billion to the health department for purchasing modern machinery and equipment for public sector hospitals and recruiting doctors on contract for the province’s far-flung areas in a bid to provide better health facilities to people there.

Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani had directed officials of the health department to take all possible measures for improving health facilities in far-flung areas of the province.
